Welcome to my blog at my new website nurshkembi.com. Although I envisage that my posts will be far and few between, I do hope to keep you updated in relation to my PhD research and conference contributions … and maybe even a few of my ramblings on contemporary art and curatorial practices, in particular contemporary Muslim art. The current blog posts to date have migrated from my previous site and introduce the museum as a contemporary space whilst the other posts touch on the notion of spatial justice; an essential and compelling (but rarely discussed) social concept, of particular importance to minority communities. I will revisit these themes in varying degrees throughout my writing and research.
